FORMER PRESIDENT OF DIVE ASSOCIATION OF MALDIVES

Zoona is a key figure in the field of diving in the Maldives. She's one of the most respected divers of the archipelago and has been the President of the Dive Association of Maldives for several years.

We believe this book – iDive Maldives – will contribute to saving our marine environment by educating divers and increasing awareness among all of us on topics such as conservation, tides and currents, and interacting with various underwater species.

PIERRE-YVES COUSTEAU

COUSTEAU DIVERS

As President of the Cousteau Divers Association, Pierre-Yves Cousteau continues to implement his father's (Commandant Jacques-Yves Cousteau) commitment to study and protect our seas and oceans.  Pierre-Yves, is also a IUCN Goodwill Ambassador, and dedicates his life with an insatiable passion to marine conservation.

I created Cousteau Divers, a global citizen science initiative for recreational divers, in 2010. Divers worldwide are contributing to our online database with photos, videos and dive logs, helping us establish a near real-time diagnostic of the oceans.

DIRECTOR FOR THE GLOBAL MARINE PROGRAM OF IUCN

As an IUCN expert and the Director for the Global Marine Program, Carl Gustaf Lundin represents one of the most efficient and recognized eco-protection organizations in the world. The IUCN is also at the origin of the RED LIST of Threatened Species; a worldwide reference for everyone concerned with conservation.

THE MANTA TRUST

CONSERVATION THROUGH RESEARCH, AWARENESS AND EDUCATION

The Manta Trust takes a multidisciplinary approach to the worldwide conservation of Manta rays and their habitat through robust science and research, while raising awareness and providing education to the general public and community alike.

The organization was founded in 2011 by Guy Stevens, a worldwide recognized and passionate Marine Biologist specializing in the study of Manta rays. Guy and the author of iDive Maldives have shared numerous cruises across the Maldives and enjoyed many memorable dives.
